Masanori Tomita, 1989, lives and works in Saitama, Japan
KAYOKOYUKI is an art gallery in Tokyo founded by Kayoko Yuki in 2013. Mainly working with Japanese artists, the gallery has introduced contemporary art internationally. In 2015, the space relocated to Komagome — the northern part of Tokyo — surrounded by a calm and quiet downtown atmosphere along with the historic Rikugien Garden nearby. The gallery space, formally an old wooden warehouse with a large south-faced window installed, allows soft natural light to pour in. KAYOKOYUKI collaborates with artists with unique perspectives towards the mysteries behind experiences—incorporating ephemeral images derived from various objects in their lives—and aims to realize works, which act as an apparatus in providing hints for coexisting, in this society of divergent values and social fragmentations.
