Baloise Kunst-Preis - Die Nominierten 2025 Ndayé Kouagou

Ndayé Kouagou, 1992, lives and works in Paris

Founded in Munich in 2016, the contemporary art gallery Nir Altman contributes new impulses to fostering and inventively presenting emerging artistic talent. The gallery’s focus lies on evoking interactivity between subject, object and the surrounding space, which often goes hand in hand with large-scale environments. For this reason, flexibility and open-mindedness towards bold architectural transformations have become closely associated with Nir Altman and his ever-growing interest towards experiment. Over the past eight years, Nir Altman has proven to be a supportive platform for artistic investigation stretching from the studio into the exhibition space. Working primarily with emerging and mid- career artists, the gallery highly encourages the integration of artistic production into the exhibition space, as this provides a deeper understanding of art as process, rather than object. With this attitude, the gallery clearly positions itself as a collaborative force amidst artists and curators, who all work together in raising awareness for contemporary matters.
