This week, Art Basel 2020 would have taken place. Therefore, we take the opportunity to present the winner of the Baloise Art Prize of the past years.
While several countries come out of lockdown, the global situation remains too precarious to go ahead with the fair this year. Having considered all possibilities, this decision was unavoidable. The fundamental health and safety risks for everyone present, the financial risks for exhibitors and partners, and the ongoing impediments towards international travel proved too high.
As a partner, Baloise follows the opinion of Art Basel, that the best forward is therefore to focus on delivering a fair of the exceptional international quality that the artworld expects next June.
This week – in which Art Basel originally would have taken place – will not just pass. Art Basel offers a bouquet of inspiring digital experiences on www.artbasel.com.
As the Baloise will not be awarding its art prize this year, we would like to give you an insight into the last 21 years.
The Baloise Group Youtube channel offers an insight into our commitment to art with the “art playlist".
